The Carolina Panthers agreed terms on Monday with free-agent wide receiver D.J. Hackett on a two-year, £1.74million deal.
Hackett, 26, battled an ankle injury last season and was limited to six games, all starts for the Seattle Seahawks.
He finished with 32 receptions for 384 yards and three touchdowns during the regular season.
Hackett had six catches for 101 yards and a touchdown in Seattle's 35-14 wild card play-off win over Washington.
Hackett, a fifth-round pick by the Seahawks in the 2004 NFL Draft, had his best season in 2006 with 45 receptions for 610 yards and four touchdowns.
