Grimsby Town defender Ryan Bennett has described his debut for England Under-18s as an "unbelievable" experience.The Mariners defender, a regular in Alan Buckley's starting line-up this season, played a full game for Brian Eastick's young England side in a midweek win over Austria.

Bennett said: "It was a really good experience for me and I played 90 minutes as well. Winning 2-0 and keeping a clean sheet was good too.

"The lads there and the coaches there were brilliant. I didn't know anyone when I first got there and they welcomed me with open arms.

"Hopefully there will be many more games to come. Wearing the England shirt and walking out was unbelievable."
