Cherries boss: Family comes first

Thu 17 Apr, 05:30 PM

Bournemouth boss Kevin Bond insists Max Gradel has his full support after he missed the weekend trip to Walsall due to family problems. The 20-year-old on-loan midfielder has been forced to return to France to deal with personal issues following the death of his mother last year.

The Leicester player could return before the end of the season, but Bond believes it is important he concentrates on his family.

"We recognise that his family is the most important thing for him at this moment in time," said Bond.

"He needs to take care of his young siblings and we hope he can resolve matters out there.

"I was aware he'd have to go out again before the end of the season and his family has to come first."
