Oldham Athletic boss John Sheridan is hoping three out-of-contract players will commit themselves to the League One club.Goalkeeper Mark Crossley, striker Andy Liddell and midfielder Gary McDonald's deals expire this summer and Sheridan is keen to keep the trio at Boundary Park.

At present, 13 of the current first-team squad are under contract for next season, including striker Lewis Alessandra who has signed a three-year deal.

Sheridan told the club's official website: "I've made it clear to Mark, Andy and Gary I want to keep them.

"I hope we can sort something out and I think it's 90 to 95% we can do that.

"I've got to make some decisions this summer and one or two of them will be harsh, but that's part and parcel of the game."
