Bury defender Andy Parrish is hoping an ankle injury has not prematurely ended his season for the Shakers. The full-back made his first start since January during last weekend's 3-0 defeat at Barnet, but limped off after an hour after sustaining a knock.
Parrish is a doubt for Saturday's clash with Macclesfield but is hoping to play some part in the final fortnight of the campaign.
He told the Bury Times: "It was a painful injury, I knew I had done something as soon as I fell.
"I would have given anything to stay on the pitch. It was a chance to prove myself and I thought I had done well in the first half.
"I'm working with Alan Bent now, icing the injury, and any game time I can get between now and the end of the season is a bonus."
