Great Britain have been drawn to face Austria in their Davis Cup world group play-off game, while captain John Lloyd has confirmed he will stay in charge of the team until 2011.

The Austria match will take place the weekend of 19-21 September and Britain will choose the venue.

With neither of the two top ranked Austrian players, Stefan Koubek and Jurgen Melzer, having much pedigree on grass, Wimbledon looks a likely venue for the tie.

Andy Murray has already confirmed he will return for the fixture after missing the 4-1 defeat to Argentina in February.

Britain need to win the tie if they are to remain in the world group.

Meanwhile, Lloyd said that he was relishing the prospect of working with coach Paul Annacone after committing himself to the job until 2011.

"I am looking forward to building on the progress we have made over the last four ties," he said.

"The hard work for both Paul and myself starts here as we start to prepare for September's tie against Austria."

Roger Draper, chief executive of the Lawn Tennis Association, added: "John has been a tremendous captain over the last two years and has transformed the team.

"It is vital that we start to identify younger players who are capable of thriving in a Davis Cup environment and I am confident that John and Paul can make some real progress in this area."
