Juventus and Sampdoria shared the spoils with an action-packed 3-3 draw at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Serie A on Saturday.Veterans Alessandro Del Piero and Vicenzo Montella made sure the points were shared for both their teams - and Juve were also reduced to 10 men after Mohamed Sissoko picked up a second yellow.
Claudio Ranieri's side went 2-0 up in quick succession when Del Piero fired home in the seventh minute and David Trezeguet despatched a penalty in the 15th minute.
But sixth-placed Sampdoria hit back with goals from on-loan Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano and defender Cristian Maggio in a frantic first half.
Claudio Ranieri's side were looking to end the season on a high after celebrating their return to the Serie A finishing in third-place and claiming a Champions League spot.
The game took a controversial turn when former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko saw red after a second bookable offence and referee Paolo Valeri had his work cut out.
Despite being a man down, Del Piero struck with 35 minutes to go when Juve were awarded another penalty.
However Sampdoria were not to be outdone when former Inter striker Vicenzo Montella equalised once more with 10 minutes to go.
Ranieri's men will remain rooted to third spot and are currently eight points behind leaders Inter after their penultimate game of the season.
Del Piero and French star Trezeguet also lead the top-scorers table with 21 and 20 goals respectively.
