Sharp Keeps The Faith

Huddersfield have an early opportunity to avenge their Challenge Cup defeat when they meet Hull KR at the Galpharm Stadium.

The Giants have lost eight of their last 11 league and cup games and have slipped to second from bottom in the table but coach Jon Sharp is calling for the club's restless fans to be patient.

"No-one is happy where we are right now, especially me," he said. "But I still have faith in my players and faith in what we are doing.

"I will continue to stand up for my team as long as they are continuing to work hard and are determined to put things right, which they are right now.

"I'm strong enough to deal with the flak thrown at me because I still believe in what we are doing."

Australian speed merchant Rod Jensen has paid the price for his role in the Giants' 42-22 defeat by Rovers at Craven Park by being relegated to the reserves.
