Hoops held by Hibs

Sun, 17 May 15:18:03 2009

Celtic's Clydesdale Bank Premier League title challenge suffered what could be a fatal blow as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Hibernian at Easter Road.

Gary Caldwell and Scott McDonald missed good chances in the first half after Hoops goalkeeper Artur Boruc had saved well from Steven Fletcher's over-head kick.

Despite incessant pressure after the break the champions could not find the net to prevent the first goalless draw between the clubs in nine years and take them back top.

Celtic host Hearts at Parkhead next week in the last game of the season while Rangers travel to Dundee United two points clear of the champions.

  2. Still awaiting the reason Hibernian fans should automatically "want the tims to win" as stated by paulgardner1965 .Hope this is not rampant sectarianism. I was always lead to believe that was a west coast sickness.

  3. Yes I do say Rangers scored twice after Barry Ferguson came on, and I am right, check the score it was Rangers 2 Aberdeen 1 that is why Rangers are now at the top of the league, and all three goals were scored after the introduction of Barry Ferguson.

  8. To paulgardner 1965... As I have English as my first language I am having trouble interpreting your ramblings. From what I can gather you claim to be a Hibernian fan yet appear to be hoping Celtic win the league and will be supporting Dundee United against Rangers..Strange logic or perhaps your are just a moron. As for Barry Ferguson ,did you notice Rangers scored twice withn five minutes of him coming on.
