Joey Barton has accepted an FA charge against him for violent conduct against Manchester City's Sergio Aguero in Sunday's clash which clinched the Premier League title for City.
However, the Queens Park Rangers midfielder has denied a second charge of alleged violent conduct against City's Vincent Kompany, the English FA said in a statement.
Barton was sent off for elbowing Carlos Tevez and then kicked Sergio Aguero and appeared to try to head-butt Kompany before being escorted off the pitch. He has requested a personal hearing, the date of which has yet to be set.
"As Barton had already been dismissed, both of these incidents fell outside of the jurisdiction of the referee" the statement said.
Queens Park Rangers said "a full investigation in relation to Joey Barton's dismissal and subsequent events against Manchester City on Sunday will be carried out following the conclusion of his FA hearing".
The club said it would make no further comment at this stage.

"As Barton had already been dismissed, both of these incidents fell outside of the jurisdiction of the referee" I therefore suggest he be charged as if he were a fan. ie life ban from the stadium and possibe police charges brought against him. Espescialy as he has previous convictions!!! love to see him tweet on that...
Comment No 1 Sounds like you were joey bartons cellmate or bum boy whichever it is,your'e no better than him, just a down and out THUG.
We can do without people like Andrea R and Jamie Barton i Personally hope we never see Barton on a football pitch again and as for the other one well she's just what you see on the street late on saturday drunk stoking up trouble then hiding behind some drunken thug and pleading innocent we don't need these people in sport in any way
Need see dt movie wen its out 'Get me d head of carlos tevez by joey barton'''somebdy pls alert me wen its out !!!
No. 2 do you mean he elbowed a striker, viciously attacked a player just standing around and then tried to head-butt another player? Did you actually see what Terry did? It was wrong, but not in the same league by any stretch of the imagination.
Terry did the same thing in Champions league semi, does it put him in the same league as Barton?
attaboy joey. serves little tw@s like sergio aguero and carlos tevez right. they can both pi&& off to Spain.
