Preston chairman Derek Shaw admits he would rather not have been handed a trip to Ipswich on the opening day of the new Championship season.The long trek to Suffolk will see North End fans make a round-trip of over 500 miles to watch their team at Portman Road.
Shaw told the club's official website: "I'm sure a lot of the supporters will be disappointed that it is such a long journey.
"Ipswich is one of the furthest ones we have to do but at least we are not going there in the winter months."

Sorry Preston NE for being too far away for your fans, but hey thats the championship for you and like my learned friend above has said at least you will have lovely NICE weather to step out too....so stop whining and deal withit.
it works both ways and it will be winter when we come to preston deal with it
