Alain Perrin is to step down as coach of seven-times Ligue 1 champions Lyon.
"Perrin is leaving," chairman Jean-Michel Aulas said at the unveiling of Cameroon midfielder Jean Makoun, signed from Lille.
"We found an agreement which will enable him to leave in the good conditions he and us were looking for."
According to local media reports, Perrin, who guided Lyon to their first domestic league and Cup double last season, will be replaced by Lille coach Claude Puel, but Aulas refused to comment.
"No decision has been taken", he said.
The French champions said earlier this month they needed a manager to help them make an impact in Europe where they have never been further than the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
