Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben will not be joining Tottenham, according to the player's father.
With a reshaping of the Real squad predicted in the wake of the club signing Kaka and agreeing a fee with Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo, Dutchman Robben had been linked with a move to White Hart Lane along with team-mates Klass-Jan Huntelaar and Gabriel Heinze.
But, in an interview with Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Robben's father, Hans, insisted there was no chance of such a transfer taking place.
"Absolute nonsense," he said. "We aren't talking with Tottenham. At the moment we aren't talking with any club.
"Of course things can change overnight but Arjen will certainly not join Tottenham."

Blurghh
cummon, Robben to Tottenham? Huntelaar to Tottenham? These players want to be at big clubs playing in the Champions League, not clubs which aren't even in the UEFA cup!
And you may argue Manchester City are able to lure players like Barry and Robinho so why can't spurs? Because Spurs can't afford £150,000pw contracts, that's why.
Robben is a thoroughly unpleasant character which he proved over and over again at Chelsea. He would fit in well at Spurs.
Why would robben want to go to Spurs???? Like sayin there going to sign kaka, ronaldo & Messi! dream on spurs fans.
decent player, but selfish, never passes the ball and is injured most of the time.
Get Huntelaar instead of Robben... He's most of the times crocked!!!
Spurs are 2 good 4 robben
he is a balding waster who never plays, just about right for spurs
he is a balding waster who never plays, just about right for spurs
martin s, if every team payed the same cash all players would wanna play for milan, real and barca as they are the biggest clubs. or maybe the team they support if that team is a decent size
why wouldnt real wanna keep him. he will go on to be best in world if stays fit. they need a squad of top players not a starting 11.
robben better not play for any english team apart from chelsea or I'll hate him
Feck him get Huntelaar instead at least he will be fit and he isnt a diver, Karl G Common sense isnt something that the world of football knows ffs Kaka and eventualy Ronaldo are gonna join a team that last year were embarrased by their rivals, people need to understand that money talks these days and if you have enough of it you can sign anyone.
O, WEL THOTS THA END A THOT THAN.
I'm a Yid and even i can admit we never had a hope in hell of getting a player like Robben!! Wish other Spurs fans would have some common sense.
Class player on he's day, but with he's sick note rep he'd fit in well at newcastle.
diving @#$% anyway.brilliant player but infuriating speshally at chelsea
Nope fail for robben.
i want him to stay
Glad that he won't be joining the scum, he'd waste his career over there.
haha fail for spurs
