Transfers - Your view: Should Prem raid Madrid?
Eurosport - Wed, 17 Jun 13:11:00 2009
Premier League clubs can now get their revenge on Real Madrid as the Spanish giants sell a host of stars. Tell us who you think they should buy on our transfer message boards!
Madrid president Florentino Perez needs to sell players to balance the books of his summer spending spree.
Reports from Spain say that Gabriel Heinze, Arjen Robben, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Wesley Sneijder, Rafael van der Vaart, Royston Drenthe, Mahamadou Diarra and Javier Saviola are all available for transfer.
With few clubs willing to match Madrid's profligate and possibly unnecessary spending on attacking players, common sense says that Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool should back off competing with Los Merengues for David Villa, Franck Ribery and the rest.
Instead they should look to pick off relative bargains at the Santiago Bernabeu, many of whom speak English.
Even the likes of Arsenal, Everton, Aston Villa and Tottenham could get involved for the likes of Huntelaar, Saviola and Diarra, while Drenthe could interest mid-table clubs.
Who should bid for who and why? Have your say on our transfer message boards!

liverpool are gona bye every one forget about it all the other teams
What if we don't buy any of their players so that they won't be able to afford any more good ones and once we've got all of the players which they would bid for we buy theirs. Clever, huh? I would love for that to happen.
Gabriel Heinze Blackburn
Arjen Robben Tottenham
Ruud Van Nistelrooy Tottenham
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar Liverpool
Wesley Sneijder Everton
Rafael van der Vaart Ac Milian
Royston Drenthe Sunderland
Mahamadou Diarra Arsenal
Javier Saviola Chelsea
united should get silva , david villa , valencia , benzema and valdes this summer i hope
saviola is complete rubbish
huntelaar is good but he is just scared to prove his worth kinda lyk berbatov being in utd...
van nistelrooy is good as gold..as a madrid fan i dnt want him to leave...neither do i want wesley to leave... but VDV hasnt been doing nothing either....drenthe is good but he needs more experience in the game i suggest madrid loan him to the FA PREM for a bit...mahamadou diarra won us the 06-07 season he is great...he just had an injury...and then LASS came iin who has been on fire and definately deserves tht DFM spot. heinze shud be retained as our defence is quite weak
apart from tht madrid shud try on villa and ribery to complete th attack and get a handful of defenders... i also think they should sell javi garcia..these players just havent done anything for the club...
the only problem is when u sell players form madrid, they go to other spanish teams and score goals against madrid lol.
bt yh honestly saviola, huntelaar have been massive disappointments...they deserve to leave more than anyone else
CAREFUL WITH THE "BARGAINS"!!!. HEINZE AND SAVIOLA ARE READY FOR RETIREMENT. VAN NISTELROY AND DIARRA ARE RECOVERING FROM WHOLE SEASON INJURES AND VAN NISTELROY IS QUITE OLD AS WELL. THE BEST OF VAN DER VAART AND SJNEIDER IS WIFE AND GIRLFRIEND RESPECTIVELY. ROBBEN GETS INJURED EVERY 2 OR 3 MATCHES, HE´S HAD ABOUT 10-12 MUSCLE TEARS THIS YEAR. SAVE HUNTELAAR, HE IS GOOD AS WELL SCARING DEFENDERS. AND... WHO IS ROYSTON DRENTHE?.
Hope Arsene Wenge go for Hunterlaah. Safe journey.
united get all the dutch palyerz plz i beg u
good analysis ,,tevez united,, but i think madrid shld keep sneijder and let robben go, also keep ruud and higuain.. huntelaar can leave cos, now madrid have 3 fast independent players, kaka, ronaldo and robben, and there is a need for a good passer, as in good with long balls and all.. guti is very lazy now, so i think sneijder is the best bet.
the priority now, sincerely shld be a centre defender....sergio ramos is no good for that.
hala madrid
sneijder should go to liverpool or barca
All the dutch guys except Drenthe are quality players really, any team wiht some decent money in the bank should buy them... Saviola should be bought by smaller teams like Aston Villa, West Ham, Fulham etc... Diarra and Heinze, considering their age, should be bought by teams that want to toughen up their side and add sum strength/depth to the squad, so teams like Wigan (should get money from Valencia sale) or Bolton Wanderers (if they have the money of course).... Drenthe should just be given to any left-over team that wants him and has some decent money
Tottenham should get Van Nistelrooy though....
Robben and Saviola at Anfield please
OK GUY WHATEEEEVEER!!!
I dont care! Buy all of these F%+!= dutch players... they are only just S:H:I:T in Madrid... Huntelaar only good in the Dutch eredivisle, Sneijder also should go there, cuz here in La Liga he cannot show any good, VdVaart is not tried yet, but he is also dutch... cannot do any goood, ONLY ROBBEN shoudl stay in Madrid, cuz nor Ribery, nor Silva will come YET to Madrid, this year, and next year we will tlak about that...
Real Madrid CF next yaar:
----------Casillas
Maicon-S.Ramos-Pepe-Marcelo
- --------Lass--Senna
----CRonaldo-Kaka-Robben
---------- Benzema
HALA MADRID!!
Lots of quality in the Madrid squad, but I think a lot of teams are doing themselves a favour and waiting to see how things pan out. There will be a clearance sale for their fringe players, the only risk is waiting too long is that someone else will beat you to the punch.
Lets forget the defense for the time being. I think they stand a good chance of success with what they've got already on paper. Huntelaar playing lone forward, CRon (right), Kaka (mid behind striker), Robben (left), Gago/Diarra holding the mid. That's a pretty nasty team already, forget adding Villa to the equation.
Gabriel Heinze - Not cut out for a champs league squad, he's in the same boat as Sylvestre now where he might be valuable off the bench or for injuries.
Arjen Robben - They should keep him, he's one of few world class wide-left players in the world and they'll never get his true value from a trade. (note the lineup above)
Ruud Van Nistelrooy - The reason I'm a United supported. Would love to see him back in the prem, Tottenham seems like the destination with Pav unlikely to keep his spot.
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar - I think he's a keeper, kid is a young Van Basten and needs more than a season to prove his worth. Think of what he can do with proper service. Again, money's already been spent and you'll never get that back through a sale.
Wesley Sneijder - Versatile player when he's fit, he can play for any team but I dont think Real will give him priority.
Rafael van der Vaart - Not suited for Madrid give their recent signings. I think his optimal role is behind a lone forward like it was at Hamburg. I really think Milan could use a slow build-up / creative player with the loss of Kaka. The pace in Italy would be more well suited.
Royston Drenthe, Mahamadou Diarra, Javier Saviola these are all potential stars for mid level teams. Given their recent performance I'd expect them to go for cheap to the highest bidder.
to Christopher F, for the record i'm improving my english and i'm sorry if writing it i get under your skin

Try to imagine a forward with Robben, Drogba (or Tevez?) and Joe Cole, Chelsea would be terrific again!
