Carlisle manager Greg Abbott is hopeful that his side can hit the ground running after the new season's fixtures were unveiled.
The Cumbrians, who escaped relegation to League Two on the final day of last season, will host new boys Brentford on August 8 before away trips to Millwall and Stockport.
"I think it's a fantastic set of fixtures for us," Abbott told his club's official website.
"It might just be me seeing the fixture list and thinking about the fact that we're back at it now, but I look at the first batch of eight games and I feel that they are there for us to get something out of.
"That's exactly what I am going to say to the players when they come back in to work, because we now have something to work towards."
