Sheffield United will launch the Championship season with a trip to Middlesbrough on Saturday, August 8.
The Blades take on Watford in their opening home match the following weekend and newly-promoted Leicester visit Bramall Lane three days later in the first midweek clash.
A trip to Reading (August 22) and a home clash against West Brom (August 29) ensure a testing first month for Kevin Blackwell's side.
The first Steel City derby of the new campaign is scheduled for September 19 at Hillsborough, with the return at the back end of the season in the Blades' penultimate away clash on April 17.
Doncaster visit Bramall Lane on October 3 in the second of six local derbies for the Blades, with trips to Barnsley (November 7) and Doncaster (March 20) followed by a home match against Barnsley on April 3.
The Blades take on Newcastle at home on October 31 and will close the season at Ipswich on May 2 after their final home match against Swansea on April 24.
