Cobblers trip for Town

Wed 17 Jun, 10:39 AM

Macclesfield kick off their League Two campaign with a trip to newly-relegated Northampton on August 8.

The Silkmen will hope to make a winning start before successive home games against Notts County and Port Vale respectively on August 15 and 18.

A busy opening month is completed with a trip to north-west rivals Morecambe and another home clash with Rotherham.

Keith Alexander`s men, who endured a disappointing campaign last term, travel to Shrewsbury on Boxing Day and face a home clash with Crewe two days later.

Macclesfield wrap up their campaign with a home clash against Darlington on May 1 and a final-day trip to Alexander`s former club Lincoln the following week.
