No Everton offer - Blackwell

Wed 17 Jun, 04:32 PM

Kevin Blackwell has denied Sheffield United have received a £5million offer from Everton for defender Kyle Naughton.

Naughton earned rave reviews after breaking into Blackwell's first-team at Bramall Lane last season and has been linked with several Premier League clubs, but the Blades manager confirmed reports the England Under-21 international was poised for a move to Goodison Park were wide of the mark

Blackwell said: "Nobody from Everton has contacted me about Kyle so, as far as I'm concerned there is nothing in it - and I'm not aware of anything from anybody else."

  5. this is a classic transfer window whisper no doubt someone connected with sheff utd or naughton has made up the story so others teams i.e man city, liverpool etc are alerted.....We now know utd are holding out for more than 5 mill so its a case of name ya price its just a shame clubs are being used to put players in shop windows.
