Millwall have been handed a tough start to the League One season with a trip to Southampton.

The Lions, who were last term`s beaten play-off finalists, will travel to St Mary`s to take on the relegated Saints on Saturday, August 8.

Home games against Carlisle and Oldham follow before a trip to Southend on August 22 and the visit of Brighton a week later.

The eagerly-awaited trip to relegated south London neighbours Charlton will take place on December 19, before they head to Norwich on Boxing Day.

Charlton will visit The Den on March 13, the week before Millwall travel to Leeds to face the side they beat in the play-off semi-finals.

Their final game of the season is a home game against Swindon on May 8
