Stuart McCall is hoping for a repeat performance from his side at Notts County on the opening day of the new season after launching last year's campaign with a win over the Magpies.
Bradford beat Notts County 2-1 at Valley Parade in their first match last season thanks to goals in each half from Peter Thorne and McCall's side will look for three points at Meadow Lane this time around.
McCall told the club's official website: "Last season's match was very tight, they gave us a good match, but we battled hard for the victory and I'd take that again.
"It's important to try and start the season on a positive note and we'll look to do just that.
"The pitch at Meadow Lane is a big surface compared to others in the league and a good one to play on, so hopefully the team we put out will be able to take advantage of the space and get it down and play."
