Robben to Spurs rumours 'nonsense'

Wed, 17 Jun 14:59:18 2009

Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben will not be joining Tottenham Hotspur, according to the player's father.

With a reshaping of the Real squad predicted in the wake of the club signing Kaka and agreeing a fee with Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo, Dutchman Robben had been linked with a move to White Hart Lane along with team-mates Klass-Jan Huntelaar and Gabriel Heinze. But, in an interview with Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Robben's father, Hans, insisted there was no chance of such a transfer taking place.

"Absolute nonsense" he said. "We don't talk with Tottenham. At the moment we don't talk with any club. Of course, things can change overnight, but one thing is sure: Arjen will certainly not join Tottenham."

  1. Sadly Harry does'nt seem to like Bent. I think he should stay, he scores goals. "misses a few" but still scores some.

  5. They should put everything they can to bring Ashley Young to Spurs.

If it costs us a couple of players goin the other way, then so be it.

  6. I agree, no more bench players(injured). Although Robben is an excellent player i think the money could be spent wiser.
