United first up for Hearts

Hearts will begin the 2009/10 Scottish Premier League campaign with a trip to Dundee United on August 15.

Rangers will be the first visitors to Tynecastle on August 23 before Csaba Laszlo's men travel to face SPL newboys St Johnstone on August 30.

The three Edinburgh derbies against Hibs are set for November 7 (home), January 2 (away), March 20 (home), while the other two fixtures against champions Rangers will take place on January 23 (away) and March 27 (home).

Boxing Day will see Laszlo's men travel to Falkirk before returning to Tynecastle to end the year with a clash against Motherwell (December 30).
