New Hull City signing George Boateng is ready to give his all to ensure the club remains in the Premier League this season.Boateng completed his switch from Middlesbrough on Wednesday for a fee of £1million, penning a two-year deal at the KC stadium.
The 32-year-old Dutchman has a wealth of Premier League experience having played for Coventry, Aston Villa and Boro in the past 11 years.
And he has stated his ambition to preserve Hull's top-flight status when the new season gets under way.
"It is a big challenge, and a challenge that I am very, very looking forward to," said Boateng. "This was an opportunity I needed to kick-start my career.
"Getting to the top is hard but staying there is even harder. I am here to win football matches for this club so we can stay in this division."
On his time at Boro, Boateng added: "It was great at Middlesbrough. I have no reason to be disappointed to leave Boro.
"I had six great years there and achieved so much. I have no regrets."

George Boateng is a great player, great athlete and I am sure a great family man. We wish him all the very best at Hull and fell sure that he is an absolutely fantastic signing for Hull, but quite why Gareth did not fancy him is beyond us. He has been our BEST player for half a decade.
