MK Dons boss Roberto Di Matteo says he can't wait to see his players in action for the first time when they face Reading on Saturday.Di Matteo has been at the club for just two weeks since replacing Paul Ince at the helm and is keen to see how his charges react against the former Premier League side in the friendly at stadium:mk.
He said: "It'll be interesting to see the players in action and how they behave in a competitive game.
"I'll be looking for certain things from them, but I don't expect them to come flying out just yet after the hard work we have done in the last few weeks.
"Pre-season has gone well so far, the players are working very hard which is important because we believe strongly in hard work.
"We have some trialists in who we will check out but I want to make sure that any player we bring in has quality and is going to add something to the team."
