Defender Gareth Edds bagged a hat-trick as Tranmere Rovers came from behind to beat non-league side Heswall 6-2 at Gayton Park.Heswall took the lead after 19 minutes from a free-kick but Rovers levelled when George O'Callaghan finished off a three-man move.
The home side hit back though and went ahead again from the penalty spot, only for Edds to make it 2-2.
Rovers then took control of the match and Steve Jennings gave them the advantage from a free-kick, before Edds scored his second from Ian Moore's cross.
Terry Gornell then set up Edds to complete his hat-trick before Chris Greenacre completed the scoring when he headed home to make it six.
