Gray pleased with Cobblers bonding

Thu 17 Jul, 01:30 PM

Northampton boss Stuart Gray believes his side's trip to Germany has helped his new signings become part of the close-knit squad at Sixfields. The Cobblers face FC Kleve on Thursday night and Gray believes new players Abdul Osman, Liam Davis and Leon Constantine will benefit from the week away.

He said: "The team spirit is very good and you can see it building as the week goes on.

"The lads who were here last season already had that togetherness but it has been great to see the new boys integrate into that.

"Part of the initiation is for all the new boys to stand up and sing solo in front of the group.

"All of the new lads have done that and kept us all entertained. Some were better than others but as long as they deliver on the field I am not too worried about their singing voices!"
