Crystal Palace hit four at Aldershot on Thursday night, but they were made to sweat before claiming a narrow 4-3 victory.The game saw four penalties in total, two for both sides, but it was Palace who eventually came out on top as Neil Warnock returned to one of his former clubs in front of 1,436 supporters at the EBB Stadium.
John Grant hit two for the Stags, one of which was from the spot, while Marvin Morgan added another penalty.
Spot kicks from Dougie Freeman and Jamie Smith, though, and further strikes from James Dayton and trialist Calvin Andrew ensured the Championship side scraped home.
