Norwich manager Glenn Roeder believes new winger Wes Hoolahan showed enough in his cameo role against Gorleston FC to excite Canaries fans. The winger - signed from Blackpool - was instrumental in Wednesday night's 8-1 win and Roeder is certain that he will become a huge favourite.
He said: "I think we got a tiny glimpse of what Hoolahan is all about and I think the fans are going to be excited by watching him play this year.
"He's got a tight thigh so we brought him off as we can't afford to take any chances with any of our senior players.
"There's nothing serious and had it been a league game then he would have carried on."
