Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock was impressed by his side's fitness levels during their 1-1 friendly draw with Weston-super-Mare.Argyle looked to be heading for a second successive pre-season win after Darren Mullings put through his own net, but Marvin Brown equalised for Weston to secure a draw.
But Sturrock praised his side's work rate as they came through their second match in three days having faced Tiverton on Monday and a full training session prior to kick off.
"Performances have taken a back-seat as far as these games are concerned. Individually, some of them played quite well," he told the club's official website.
"Some of them were a bit leg-weary out there. Pre-season is non-stop when you would normally have a rest before and after these games.
"It was the work-out everybody needed."
