Re-live the third day of the World Athletics Championships in Berlin with Shelly-Ann Fraser completing a Jamaican double in the women's 100 metres.
21:00 - Thanks for joining us this evening - we have seen Yelena Isinbayeva dramatically crash out in Berlin with compatriot Anna Rogowska of Russia taking gold in the women's pole vault, along with Shelly-Ann Fraser's gold in the 100m. See you again tomorrow!
Primoz Kozmus took gold in the men's hammer, while Yargeris Savigne was victorious in the women's triple jump. Kenenisa Bekele cruised to the gold medal in the men's 10,000, while Marta Dominguez won the 3,000m steeplechase for Spain.
20:55 - Shelly-Ann Fraser continues her celebrations on the track along with Mabel Gay, and Jamaica have once again dominated the 100m at a major Championships!
20:50 - Savigne - who took gold with 14.95m - and Gay trot around the track jubilantly waving the Cuban flag, while Pyatykh waves to the crowd, clearly delighted with her bronze medal! What an evening of World Championship athletics it has been!
20:45 - Yargeris Savigne of Cuba takes gold in the women's triple jump!Mabel Gay cannot oust her compatriot from the top spot taking silver, and the defending champion is the world's best once more! Anna Pyatykh of Russia jumps 14.58m to secure bronze.
20:40 - SHELLY-ANN FRASER OF JAMAICA CLINCHES GOLD IN THE WOMEN'S 100m! The Olympic champion has proved she is no one hit wonder. 10:73 is the time!! She stormed out of the blocks and had a big lead from Kerron Stewart at half-way but her Jamaican rival came roaring back and just missed out on the gold. Stewart finishes in 10.75 and Carmelita Jeter of USA takes bronze with 10.90!
20:35 - The medal presentation is being conducted and Spain's Marta Domínguez for the women's 3000m steeplechase, with Yuliya Zarudneva of Russia and Milcah Chemos Cheywa of Kenya being presented with silver and bronze medals respectively. Now for the hotly-anticipated women's 100m, with Shelly-Ann Fraser, Kerron Stewart and Carmelita Jeter among those vying for gold!
20:30 - Biljana Topic takes a national record for Serbia with 14.52m in the women's triple jump, while Mabel Gay moves from fourth to second place with a 14.61. Savigne still leads for Cuba. It looks like being a Cuba one-two!
20:25 - KENENISA BEKELE STORMS TO THE 10,000m GOLD MEDAL! 26:46.51 is the time, and Kidane Tadasse must take a lot of credit for that time! The Ethiopan was utterly imperious in racing past Tadasse, who takes silver, on the final lap and wins by 20 metres! Moses NdiemaMasai comes in for a comfortable bronze.
20:20 - Moses Ndiema Masai has dropped 10m behind the leaders as Tadasse holds his lead determinedly with Bekele in close attendance, waiting to pounce like a predator. Three laps are remaining.
20:15 - Ethiopa's Dinkesa drops out of the 10,000m and Kidane Tadasse continues to work laboriously at the front of the four-man leading pack. Bekele remains in third place as the pace continues to slow gradually.
20:10 - Yargeris Savigne leads at the halfway stage in the women's triple jump, and the Cuban is looking pretty imperious thus far. Anna Pyatykh of Russia, who was languishing down in eighth, jumps into second with a very fine jump to challenge Savigne.
20:05 - Gebremariam is brushed aside by Bekele, who is lurking ominously on the front-runners' shoulders. The pace is very fast as the runners come through with 12 laps remaining at 14:23. Kemboi joins the leaders and pushes the pace further.
20:00 - With 16 laps of the men's 10,000 final remaining, Micah Kipkemboi Kogo leads the field, and temporarily the lap marker deceives the athletes with the wrong number - the officials finally rectify their mistake! That could have been potentially disastrous for some of the runners! Juan Carlos Romero and Imane Merga hit the front now.
19:55 - In the women's triple jump, Brazil's Gisele de Oliveira has a season's best of 14.16, with Olga Rypakova having a 14.32 to her name and Biljana Topic of Serbia a 14.37. Cuba's Yargeris Savigne, the defending champion, smashes those efforts with a 14.89 to delight her coach in the stands!
19:50 - Next on the track is the men's 10,000m final and the race will pit Kenenisa Bekele of Ethiopa and Zersenay Tadese among a host of contenders. Two runners from Qatar, four from Ethiopa and three from Kenya are among the field.
19:45 - Marta Domínguez wins the women's 3000m steeplechase final in a time of 9:07.32 after a devastating kick on the home straight, leaving Yuliya Zarudneva of Russia and Milcah Chemos Cheywa of Kenya - who finish second and third respectively - in her wake. Both Zarudneva and Cheywa post personal bests in the process, while Dominguez celebrates ecstatically!
19:40 - Unbelievable! YELENA ISINBAYEVA CRASHES OUT OF THE WOMEN'S POLE VAULT! The Russian fails for a third time at 4.75m, and the Pole ANNA ROGOWSKA TAKES GOLD! Chelsea Johnson and Monika Pyrek take joint silver medals.
19:35 - Yelena Isinbayeva is unsuccessful with her second vault at 4.75m, and the pressure will really be on her third attempt now! Asbel Kiprop wins the second semi-final of the men's 1500m in 3:36.24, Leonel Manzano takes second, and Augustine Kiprono Choge third. James Brewer misses out on a place in the men's 1500m final by eight hundredths of a second, while Andrew Baddeley has also not done enough.
19:30 - Britain's Andrew Baddeley will run in the second semi-final of the men's 1500m, along with Augustine Kiprono Choge of Kenya, who has an impressive season's best time of 3:29.47, and countryman Asbel Kipruto Kiprop.
19:25 - Britain's Kate Dennison loses her momentum completely and fails at 4.65 for a third time to her immense frustration. She has at least performed very well up till that point. At last, we see the figure of Yelena Isinbayeva, but she surprisingly fails with her first vault at 4.75.
19:20 - Amine Laalou wins the first semi-final in the men's 1500m with a time of 3:36.68, with USA's Lopez Lomong and Bernard Lagat coming in second and third respectively. Yusuf Saad Kamel and Mehdi Baala complete the qualifiers, while Britain's James Brewer will be forced to sweat in sixth after running 3:37.27.
19:15 - The women's triple jump is underway in the field, while the first of the men's 1500m semi-finals is about to commence on the track. Britain's James Brewer is involved - can he attain a top-five spot? Amine Laalou and Yusuf Saad Kamel have season's bests of 3:31, while Kenya's Haron Keitany will also be dangerous.
19:10 - The onus will soon be on Yelena Isinbayeva as Anna Rogowska also clears 4.65m and is very fired up as she consolidates third place in the competition. Spiegelberg moves into fourth place to the delight of the home fans.
19:05 - Germany's Silke Spiegelberg receives a raptuous ovation as she consolidates fifth place, while Kate Dennison of Britain is in sixth. USA's Chelsea Johnson extends her lead by clearing 4.65m, and she looks very convincing in the process.
19:00 - The medal ceremony for the men's 100m is being conducted, with Asafa Powell grinning broadly as he accepts his bronze and Tyson Gay is equally jovial in receiving silver. Usain Bolt leaps up on to the podium and poses extravagantly, pointing to his gold medal with a very smug smile! His world record was surely the performance of the Games!
18:55 - The third women's 800m semi-final is won by Elisa Cusma Piccione of Italy in a time of 2:00.64, while Britain's Marilyn Okoro also qualifies in second place! Anna Rostkowska takes third with Elena Kofanova languishing in fourth. The big news is that Olympic champion Pamela Jelimo falls and is subsequently out of the competition - what a nightmare for the Kenyan!
18:50 - PRIMOZ KOZMUS TAKES GOLD IN THE MEN'S HAMMER! The Slovenian seals victory after Ziolkowksi cannot overhaul his rival with his final throw! KristianPars is not able to respond with his final throw and takes fourth.
18:45 - Jenny Meadows leaves it late and manages to steal second spot by two-thousandths of a second with a dip on the line - astonishing finish from the Brit! Caster Semenya of South Africa wins it in 1:58.66 and she looks very comfortable in the process! Kristian Pars has slipped down to fourth in the men's hammer - can he respond?
18:40 - Britain's Jennifer Meadows, who has clocked a 1:58 this season, runs in the second semi-final of the women's 800m . Meanwhile, Markus Esser of Germany finds the net with his latest hammer throw and is holding his head in dismay - as are the home fans!
18:35 - Jemma Simpson is distraught to finish in fifth after a fast start and Mariya Savinova of Russia wins the first semi-final in 1:59.30. Yuliya Krevsun finishes in second, while Mayte Martínez finds that a season's best is still not enough. Monika Pyrek gets her pole vault challenge underway with a successful effort at 4.55m.
18:30 - The first women's 800m semi-final is about to get underway on the track while the men's hammer continues. A false start delays the start to the 800m, but there are no problems on the second attempt. Britain's Jemma Simpson sets off quickly on the shoulder of Hasna Benhassi!
18:25 - Good news for British athletics enthusiasts! World championship 100 metres silver medallist Tyson Gay is to run the event at the British Grand Prix in Gateshead on August 31, organisers have confirmed. The American is nursing a groin injury but is still hopeful of defending his world 200 metres crown.
18:20 - Chandra Sturrup gets off to a flier but is pegged back by Campbell-Brown and Jeter. The American takes first place with a hugely impressive run in 10.83, pipping the Jamaican who takes second with a time of 11.00 with Sturrup one tenth off. Aleen Bailey of Jamaica takes the fourth qualifying spot.
18:15 - Two more Jamaicans in the second semi of this women's 100m including defending champion Veronica Campbell-Brown with countrywoman Aleen Bailey being the other. The in-form American Carmelita Jeter will also be expected to move on.
18:10 - The Jamaicans shine and Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser has roared back into form with a win in a time of 10:79. Kerron Stewart comes next in 10.84 and Williams (11.01) and Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie (11.03) also advance although they were a little bit back.
18:05 - Next up we have the first semi-final of the women's 100m . A big semi this with fastest qualifier Kerron Stewart, former World Champion Lauryn Williams and Olympic Champion Shelley-Ann Fraser all in this.
18:00 - In the fifth heat, Lashinda Demus trumps Morosanu's time with a 54.66 making her the fastest in this round of qualifying. Anastasiya Rabchenyuk, Natalya Ivanova and Muizat Ajoke Odumosu all qualify too.
17:55 - Angela Morosanu of Romania comes home in first place in the fourth heat of the women's 400m hurdles and 54.70 is her hugely impressive time. Tiffany Williams, Zuzana Hejnova and Amaka Ogoegbunam - with a personal best - all qualify.
17:50 - Kristian Pars of Hungary is enduring a torrid evening thus far, producing 75.51, but it is another no throw. Slovenia's Primoz Kozmus still holds first place, while Germany's Markus Esser cannot build with a 74.07.
17:45 - Melaine Walker makes it three heats, three first places for Jamaica, powering home in a time of 55.17 with Natalya Antyukh taking second place in 55.40, while Perri Shakes-Drayton takes gives Britain another third-ranked qualifier. Denmark's Sara Petersen takes fourth.
17:40 - A reminder that the top eight of the 12 competitors will advance into the second phase of the competition, with Ziolkowski holding second place and finding an improved 79.30 to consolidate that position.
17:35 - Jamaica's Nickiesha Wilson takes the second heat of the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 55.37, while Anna Jesien of Poland pips Britain's Eilidh Child into second place with 55.57. USA's Sheena Tosta steals the final qualifying spot.
17:30 - Markus Esser of Germany moves up to third place in the hammer with a throw of 76.27, and the home fans are in raptures! Szymon Ziolkowski of Poland holds top spot early on.
17:25 - The women's 400m hurdles is the first event on the track, and the first heat is about to get underway. Kaliese Spencer clinches victory in the first heat in a time of 55.12, with Josanne Lucas second in 55.41 and Xiaoxiao Huang taking the third spot with 55.52. Vania Stambolova of Bulgaria also qualifies, posting a time of 56.01.
17:20 - Some old favourites, like former Olympic and World champ Szymon Ziolkowski of Poland, and perennial placer Koji Mirofushi of Japan will be in the mix. But it should come down to Pars and Kozmus swinging for gold.
17:15 - First up this evening, it is the men's hammer throw! The contest will likely be between Hungarian Kristian Pars, who will be looking to reverse the Olympic order on Primoz Kozmus of Slovenia.
17:10 - In the pole vault Russian world record holder Yelena Isinbayeva should claim another global title. The championships' third day also will include finals in the men's hammer throw, women's triple jump, women's 3,000 metres steeplechase and men's 10,000 metres.
17:05 - The women's semi-finals and finals will likely be a Caribbean-US show, with 13 of the 16 semi-finalists hailing from the US or the islands. Jamaican Olympic silver medallist Kerron Stewart set the pace in qualifying, clocking 10.92 seconds with American champion Carmelita Jeter just beind.
17:00 - Welcome to our coverage of the evening session here in Berlin and we have an array of finals to bring you, including the women's 100m, triple jump and pole vault, and the men's 10,000m and hammer. It should be quite eventful!

The gold medal in the womens pole vault went to Anna Rogowska who is Polish NOT a Russian compatriot!
Please get your facts right!
By the way Balvin, any person with eyes that saw the race knows that Jeter ran close to the line but did not ONCE step out of her lane. The only time the IAAF rules excuse running out of lane is when the perpetrator (Stewart) was "pushed or forced" out of her lane and "no material advantage is gained" from running out of lane. While no material advantage was gained by Stewart, she was neither pushed nor forced into Fraser's lane. Stewart ran into Fraser's lane in an effort to out-dip Fraser at the line. Just because everyone seems to be incompetent in doing their jobs over there in Berlin does not mean that what happened did not happen. It was a CLEAR case of disqualification. By the way, the rules do not distinguish between races that are run entirely on a straight like the 100m, or races that have bends like the 200m and 400m. The rules just state that once a runner is assigned a lane for the entire distance of the race, he/she must stay in that lane for the whole race. So shut up Balvin.
Balvin, you idiotic fool. It does not matter who was impeded or who was offended. The rules simply state that if you run any part of the race outside your lane, you are automatically disqualified. Using your incredibly stupid logic, you're basically saying that if two athletes from the same nation run in lanes that are next to each other, they can criss cross in and out each other's lanes and still not be disqualified. Your stupidity astounds me. The rules do not state anyone has to be interfered with, impeded, gain an advantage or disadvantage. It is one of strict liability. You run out of lane, you're disqualified. Anyone of the 7 others running the race have the grounds to lodge an appeal or ask for a review. Balvin, that no one has done so is as moronic as your view. Idiot.
To the two morons whose eyes were keen enough to see that Kerron had run out of her lane you may have noticed that (1) she did not gain any advantage; (2) she did not impede Shelly Ann nor anyone else. The person whose lane she ran in did not lodge an appeal as they were both Jamaicans and the Americans would have had no grounds to appeal as none of their athletes were interfered with.
jamaica 2 the flippin worl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a moron has wrote, that A.Rogowska and Y.Isinbayeva are a compatriots ? I did not heard about any union between Poland and Russia. I know, that the quality of a journalist is dramaticaly getting worse, but this is more than simply idiotic... Is this Eurosport page or something ???
Kerron Stewart ran out of lane. Do the Americans have any officials watching replays or are they all at the health care townhall debates in the States shouting down "death panels"....fools!
Hey,why was Kerron stewart awarded second place in the 100m womens final?
She ran out of her lane right near the end into Frasers lane!
Am i the only one in the world that has seen this?
Gold and 2 Silver medals today for Poland today. What a beatiful day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
kozmus the best ever!!!
Jestesmy z Was bardzo dumni i cieszymy się razem z wami.Dziękujemy
