Scotland's Euro 2008 qualifying hopes suffered a blow as they trailed 1-0 at half-time in their Group B match in Georgia in Wednesday.Levan McHedlidze rewarded the hosts for their early industry when he headed home from a corner after 16 minutes.
Stephen McManus headed over as Scotland tried to respond and James McFadden also had a penalty appeal turned down.
Georgia continued to dictate the tempo and McHedlidze forced a good save from Craig Gordon with a low long-range shot which bounced awkwardly in front of the Sunderland goalkeeper.
