Cardiff failed to increase the pressure on the Championship pace-setters as they were held 1-1 at home by Crystal Palace.
The Bluebirds suffered an early setback as they went behind to Mark Hudson's own goall.
But midfielder Peter Whittingham levelled in the 19th minute with his fifth goal in four games and they threatened to go on and claim their third successive victory.
But Dave Jones' men, who had scored 10 goals in their previous two games, failed to find the winner.
The opening goal came when Danny Butterfield crossed from the right and Alan Lee's header was diverted into the Cardiff net by Hudson.
But Palace's wonder start did not last long.
Firstly they lost Moses, who had begun promisingly, to injury and then they lost the lead.
Winger Chris Burke jinked his way into the penalty area and his cross found its way through to Whittingham, who finished from six yards.
The goal settled the home side and they took control of the ball and the flow of the game but could not find a winner.

Great to see Hudson scoring for Palace again!!!!!!! Fantastic result for Palace who are proving to now be a difficult team to beat. As long as everyone keeps writing us off we don't care. Well done Palace.
how many times is Moses going to get injured this season. He is either extremely unlucky or a target for special treatment from unscrupulous opposition attention. Still it is a good result for the Palace whom in spite of limited resources are getting good results. Well done you Eagles.
