Mason brace sinks Carlisle

Ryan Mason scored twice as Yeovil eased to a 3-1 victory over Carlisle at Huish Park.

The on-loan Tottenham midfielder opened the scoring after 13 minutes when he latched onto a neat through-ball from Craig Alcock before finishing coolly.

Yeovil dominated the first 45 minutes and deservedly doubled their advantage two minutes before the interval.

Andy Welsh's precise pass found Mason and the youngster once again gave visiting goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley no chance.

Carlisle got back into the game nine minutes into the second half when Terrell Forbes brought down Scott Dobie and Ian Harte smashed home the resultant penalty.

The goal set up a grandstand finish, but Yeovil substitute Kieran Murtagh secured victory for his side with three minutes remaining, bundling the ball over the line following good work fron Welsh and Sam Williams.
