Perrin prepared to let Baros leave

Sat 17 Nov, 01:30 PM

Milan Baros is being tracked by a trio of clubs, including one from England, and Lyon coach Alain Perrin says the Czech striker may have to go.Baros has started just three games for Les Gones this term, with Perrin preferring to go with Fred and Karim Benzema.

That has led to the former Liverpool and Aston Villa man seeking reassurances over his future and Perrin admits he may have to leave Stade Gerland for regular first-team football.

"He talked me about his worries," said Perrin.

"I can understand an international player wanting to play, he is not satisfied to be on the bench.

"The problem is Milan is clearly number three among our centre forwards.

"We will talk about that again with him. But I believe it is difficult to keep someone against his will."

Manchester City have been linked with Baros, while there is also interest from Spain and Germany.

However OL president Jean-Michel Aulas does not want to sell Baros and will speak to the 26-year-old about his future when he returns from international duty.

He said: "For that kind of transaction [a sale] you need a buyer and a seller. But we don't want to sell.

"So we will wait for him to come-back [from international duty] to have a clear explanation."
