Michael Schumacher has responded to reports that Rubens Barrichello plans to one day publish a book of revealing memoirs about his time at Ferrari.
Barrichello, 36, spent six years as Schumacher's team-mate at the Italian team, during which time the German secured five of his seven drivers' titles.
In the same period, Barrichello won just nine races, but Schumacher has rejected claims the Brazilian was not given a fair chance to succeed.
"Nobody can make you slower because of a contract," he told the Cologne newspaper Express.
"If you are fast, you are fast, and then you are the number one."

I agree that Schumi is always going to be #1 in Ferrari. There is a simple for this. His previous team mates were not able to match him over the course of the whole season.
That said, I also agree that Schumi got to certain extend some unfair advantage over his team mates. He always got access to the new development if the team was unable to get them into both cars. There were some races that Ruben were asked to give way to Schumi, even from the beginning of the race. The most notable ones will be in Austria where it invited a lot of boos and subsequent ban of team order. It is so an embarassing situation for the eventual champion. I'm sure such things happened every seasons until Ruben finally got tired of it at the end of 2005.
In the fair note, Ruben got his chance to win races, which he did. There were occassion he performed better than Schumi. Over the course of a season, I have to say that he is no match for Schumi. The championship points tells. If they are evenly matched, the points which is closed.
Poor Ruben is a very disgrunted man... seeing his career coming to an imminent end.
Jumping the gun Schumi.
I've been away for a few days, anyone give me a rundown about what's been happening?
Any more revelations from touronroute?
Did we find out the true engine size of his truck?
Has clispyduck done a u-turn or something?
Touron also posted as Clispy in the "F1's new era kick starts in Spain" story, post #10 & #12, but he forgot to change profile and answered as Touron in post #12 forgetting he was still logged in as clispy, lol.
Post #10 is very funny. Trying to post backing up touron saying "if you (look) back touronroute is correct in a lot of things" from the point of view of a neutral observer, lol.
Classic!

What a shock, I had never guessed, I just thought Touron was making sense and I was always wrong.

SCOTTISH C,.YOU NO NOTHING, YOU WILL NEVER NO NOTHING, NO EXCUSES. WHAT EXCUSES HAVE YOU GOT FOR NOT READING THE BLOG ,I ASKED YOU TO, AND BY THE WAY YOUR NOT A COMEDIAN, WITH THAT ADRESS EASY TO FIND, LM A O..
Touron.
I 'know' there is 'no' investigation into Glock, who raced as hard as he could with dry tyres on a wet track.
You promised us there would be an investiation, with the suggestion that Hamilton would be stripped of his title.
As you are full of $hit, everyone knew this wasn't true.
But I am looking forward to your excuses for why there is no investigation.
Schumacher was consistently better than Reubens - yes Reubens had his days where he was the faster of the 2, but Schumi earned his number 1 status. Let's not forget 1999 when Schumi returned from his accident at Silverstone & was number 2 for Eddie Irvine. The team is interested in winning the title and whoever gives them the best chance of doing that will be the number 1 driver & the other driver will be number 2, the role of which is to help the team by helping the number 1.
Ferrari is not the only team that operates this way - example - Mclaren in 1998 or 1999 told Coulthard to move aside for Hakkinen in the Australian GP, Lewis has had preferential treatment to both his team mates.
As for the comment about Schumi demanding Reubens car, it the set up his car that Schumi wanted because it was one of the few occassions that Reubens was hooked up but Schumi couldn't get his set up to match that of Barrichello.
Scottishc, DONT KEEP JUMPING FROM BLOG TO BLOG WITHOUT ANSWERING ONE BLOG AT A TIME. YOU NO THE INVESTIGATION IS NOT FINISHED. NOW READ, THURSDAY 13TH, FORCE INDIA RUMOURS. POST 12. YES SCOTTISH I AM IN THE KNOW.
Hey Touronroute!
Where is the Glock investigation you promised us.
Are you sure you didn't imagine it? Was it voices in your head?

(will he bite, I hope so...)
Felipe Massa seemed to manage ok both as number 2 to Schumacher ( where he obviously learned a lot) and this year where one would assume he started number 2 to Kimi. If you prove yourself worthy, you get number 1 status. Much as I loved Rubens, he never quite seemed to have the determination and drive (pardon the pun) to be number 1.
did shu not demand rubens car one time.
Seems like people are starting to get a little edgy with just the thought of a book.
You are the worst kind of idiot touronroute, you have no idea what you are talking about and completely out of your depth
