Int Football - Italy name squad for Greece friendly

Eurosport - Mon, 17 Nov 11:02:00 2008

Italy coach Marcello Lippi has named Liverpool full-back Andrea Dossena in a 22-man squad for a friendly match with Greece in Athens.

FOOTBALL 2008 World Cup 2010 Qualifying Italy Lippi Aquilani Dossena - 0

Dossena has been in and out of Rafael Benitez's side since moving from Udinese in the summer, but he could start ahead of Lyon's Fabio Grosso.

Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon misses out through injury, meaning Galatasaray's Morgan De Sanctis should start with Siena youngster Gianluca Curci on the bench.

Antonio Di Natale, Andrea Pirlo, Alberto Aquilani and Gianluca Zambrotta are also out.

Udinese playmaker Gaetano D'Agostino, 26, could win his first cap.

The former Roma and Bari man is the only new face for Italy, although Grosso, Nicola Legrottaglie, Mauro Camoranesi and Vincenzo Iaquinta all return from injury.

Vteran striker Alessandro Del Piero has again been left out as Lippi continues to experiment.

Udinese striker Fabio Quagliarella has been recalled after missing out on the last round of World Cup qualifier.
