Pardew keen to keep City's Mills

Mon 17 Dec, 04:15 PM

Charlton manager Alan Pardew will attempt to extend Danny Mills' loan spell at the Valley until the end of the season. The 30-year-old former England defender has been one of the Addicks' most consistent performers since rejoining the club in August on loan from Manchester City.

Mills' initial spell is due expire at the turn of the year, but Pardew will open talks with City in a bid to keep hold of the combative right-back.

"We are trying to keep Danny Mills for the rest of the year," said Pardew.

Young striker Chris Dickson returns from a three-month spell at Gillingham next week, and Pardew is also expected to give him a chance in the first-team squad rather than let him go out on loan again.
