European soccer's ruling body said on Monday that Rijkaard would serve a two-match touchline ban after being sent off for arguing with the referee during their group game against Lyon last month.

He has already sat out the first match of the ban with an automatic suspension during Barcelona's final group match against Stuttgart last week.

The draw for the competition's knockout stage is due to take place at UEFA's Nyon headquarters on Friday.

UEFA are still to announce what punishment Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will receive for being sent off during his side's defeat by Sevilla last month.

Wenger has also missed one match already and could face a harsher sanction than Rijkaard after failing to retreat all the way to the stands following his 80th minute dismissal.
