Full-back Andy Taylor has joined Tranmere from Blackburn for an undisclosed fee after signing a two-and-a-half-year deal at Prenton Park.The 21-year-old was two months into a loan spell but has moved quickly to tie up a permanent transfer.

Taylor has made 13 appearances this season for Ronnie Moore's side and has done enough to convince the manager to snap him up on a permanent basis.

Moore said: "Andy is a brilliant signing for the club. He has turned down a move to the Championship to come here which shows the level of our ambition.

"He is a quality left-back who attacks as well as he defends which is rare today."

Taylor added: "I'm really pleased to be joining Tranmere. I enjoyed my time here on loan and I'm looking forward to playing more football here."
