Lincoln will be without playmaker Lee Frecklington for the trip to Macclesfield after the midfielder strained his ankle ligaments.Frecklington was forced off at half-time during Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Rotherham and will be out for at least two weeks.
Shane Clarke came on to replace Frecklington to make his second appearance of the season only to be sent off for serious foul play and begins a three-match ban leaving boss Peter Jackson with limited options for his midfield.
Boxing Day casualties Gary Croft (ankle) and veteran frontman Mark Stallard (knee) both remain out for a further three weeks.
The Imps will be looking to avoid a 10th away defeat of the season which would leave them in danger of dropping into the League Two drop zone.
