New Luton manager Mick Harford is waiting on the fitness of goalkeeper Dean Brill ahead of the trip to face Leyton Orient on Saturday.Brill picked up a thigh injury in the 3-1 defeat to Swansea last week and despite playing through the 5-0 rout at Liverpool in midweek is far from 100% fit.
Former manager Kevin Blackwell had no other option but to field the 22-year-old at Anfield but as illustrated by his lack of movement for Steven Gerrard's third goal, Brill was not fit.
Reserve Marlon Beresford has now returned to light training after a shoulder operation and Harford will play whoever is deemed fittest.
Centre-back Chris Perry remains a doubt with a thigh injury of his own so Don Hutchison could reprise his defensive role after winning rave reviews at Anfield.
Midfielder Richard Langley (broken leg) and Paul Underwood remain long-term absentees while Paul Peschisolido has been ruled out for the season with his ankle injury.
