Sheffield Steelers have released Canadian forward Jeremy Cornish.
The 28-year-old former London Racers and Newcastle Vipers enforcer posted 10 points and 138 penalty minutes in 42 games this season.
His final game came last night as Steelers lost to Coventry Blaze in the quarter-finals of the British Knockout Cup.
Coach Dave Matsos said: "It's a horrible part of the job releasing guys. But my first priority is to try and make my team a better team and if a player becomes available that will help us do that then it would be remiss of me not to.
"Corney played hard for us every night and he certainly did his job fighting all of the league's tough guys. We just need to go in a different direction now, with the Challenge Cup final ahead and the play-offs eight weeks away."
