Championship - Forest bring in O'Driscoll

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cotterill has appointed former Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll as his first-team coach.

The 54-year-old has agreed a deal that will see him work underneath his former team-mate until the end of the Championship season.

The pair played together at Bournemouth, where O'Driscoll had a six-year spell as manager.

In a statement released by the club, Cotterill said: "Sean and I go back a long way, we're old friends, and I'm delighted to have been able to add him to my coaching staff.

"He's available after leaving Doncaster in September, so compensation isn't an issue.

"I've no doubts he will be a great addition to my backroom team."

  1. Doncaster played superb football under Shaun­ O'Driscoll and Forest were totally outplayed by­ them on a couple of occasions one of which resulted in­ Calderwoods dismissal and Davies being appointed.
