Caretaker boss Chris Beech was disappointed following Rochdale's goalless draw at Tranmere.
Dale and Rovers, both looking over their shoulders in npower League One, battled it out in a lively encounter, but neither could claim the points.
"I was pleased with the clean sheet - no question about that," said Beech. "I am disappointed we did not get all three points."
He added: "I would like to see an incident early on when a penalty was not given.
"I am sure the squad is in a better position now than it was four weeks ago and we will keep moving forward. I will not accept anything but the best. I am pleased how things are going but obviously I would like more points on the board. We just want to be in a position where we do not have to worry in the last game of the season."
Tranmere manager Les Parry was also left frustrated, insisting his men were determined to secure all three points.
He said: "We were desperate for a win to be honest and we should have got one. We created great chances but failed to finish them. I am sure on another day we would have bagged the goals.
"It took us a while to settle down and get control. To be fair Rochdale were excellent early on.
"They passed the ball really well and we were unable to close them down. But later we were in control and should have won."
