Grayson: We will avoid the drop

Mon 18 Feb, 05:45 PM

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson insists his side have enough quality to stave off the threat of relegation from the Championship. The Seasiders have acclimatised well to life in the second tier following their promotion from League One last May and, while Saturday's 2-1 defeat at high-flying Ipswich taught them a lesson, Grayson feels his side are capable of picking up the points needed to survive.

He said: "We are still in a good position for a newly-promoted team.

"The majority of teams have better players than us but hopefully we can pick enough points to stay up."
