Lincoln teenager Lenell John-Lewis believes he has improved since being converted from a striker to a winger. The 18-year-old operated as an out-and-out forward at all levels at Sincil Bank prior to making his first-team breakthrough this season under manager Peter Jackson.
John-Lewis, who scored one and made two others from the wing against Macclesfield on Saturday, told the Lincoln Echo: "Before breaking into the first team I was a striker.
"But at this level maybe I'm more suited to playing out wide. It gives me a chance to run at people and use my pace.
"It's definitely made me a better all-round player and helps keep me in the team."
