McCall issues player warning

Mon 18 Feb, 09:00 PM

Bradford manager Stuart McCall has warned his players wholesale changes are on his agenda this summer. The Bantams conceded a last-gasp goal to Rochdale to go down 2-1 at home for the second week running following a six-game unbeaten run since the turn of the year.

McCall said: "A lot of them are playing for their future here. A lot of them are playing for their future in the game.

"I've said to the players that they've got to show me they want to be here. We need a positive reaction.

"You like to be able to play for something and the little run we've had gave everyone a little scent. We thought that if we won our games in hand we could go near the play-offs.

"But we've got to admit we're not good enough for that at this moment in time. So it's down to me to get players in who are, so we can mount a challenge next season."
