Bolton captain Kevin Nolan believes the Trotters are well equipped to progress in Europe and maintain their Premier League status.Wanderers have a 1-0 advantage over Spanish side Atletico Madrid in the last 32 of the UEFA Cup thanks to El-Hadji Diouf's goal at the Reebok Stadium last week.
But their current league standing is rather precarious, sitting as they do just three points above the relegation places with a dozen games remaining.
Nolan is in no doubt the domestic assignment is the most pressing priority of a club which has been in the top flight for seven consecutive seasons - but also recognises the potential to maintain a UEFA Cup challenge.
"We can definitely do both," Nolan told the club's official website. "We know the Premier League is the main priority and making sure we get away from relegation as quickly as possible.
"But we've got the belief back and the lads are playing with a lot of confidence.
"The UEFA Cup is the only cup competition we are left in and we want to go as far as we possibly can."
Victory over Manchester United in November has triggered a spell of 17 points in 13 league outings under manager Gary Megson.
