Chester manager Bobby Williamson will make at least one enforced change to his starting XI ahead of the trip to high-flying Darlington.Striker Craig Lindfield returned to parent club Liverpool after his loan spell at City expired following Saturday's 1-0 home defeat against Notts County.
The 19-year-old featured heavily since the start of the year but failed to score and Chris Holroyd is vying to replace the teenager in the side.
Nathan Lowndes remain Williamson's only injury concern as the striker continues to remain sidelined with a thigh problem.
Williamson could also recall midfielder Kevin Ellison. Ellison was eligible to face County at the weekend after returning from a three-match ban but was omitted from the squad.
City make the long trip north bidding to end a 12-game winless streak.
