Basingstoke Bison, playing their fourth match in five days, narrowly lost 2-1 to Nottingham Panthers.

The hosts' Derek Campbell opened the scoring but Panthers were quickly back on level terms through Jon Coleman's first goal for the club scored.

Top scorer Sean McAslan hit the winner in the 48th minute.

Coventry Blaze edged out Cardiff Devils 4-3, while Belfast Giants came out 3-2 winners at Manchester Phoenix.

Sheffield Steelers ran amok at home to Hull Stingrays, winning 10-1, while Newcastle Vipers travelled to Edinburgh Capitals and came away with a 6-3 victory.
